About the project

This app provides information about Mexico’s most representative symbol as a nation: the National Emblem. Part of the temporary exhibition titled National Emblem: Flora, Fauna, and Biodiversity, presented in 2017 at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City in the context of the celebrations for the Centennial of the Mexican Constitution of 1917, the app features a selection of images of the most iconic objects displayed, as well as explanatory notes and information about opening hours, how to get there, museum facilities, and more.

The National Emblem is Mexico’s only insignia whose visual narrative has been preserved for more than eight centuries. Discover the historical, cultural, and natural elements that make it one of the most important symbols in the country.
