The National Library of Chile is currently located in its fifth headquarters, a building whose construction began in 1913. The land it was built on was previously occupied by the Monjas Claras convent. Architect Gustavo García Postigo oversaw the project, which was initially conceived as a Maltese cross that would house the National Library, National Archive, and National Historical Museum. The construction was completed in 1963 and was declared a National Monument in 1976.
To celebrate its 200 years of existence, Manuvo created an application that enables the public to virtually tour the most emblematic spaces of the National Library of Chile through 360-degree, spherical, interactive photographs that provide a uniquely immersive experience.
